Didcot Rugby Club gets an Osteopath

FullSizeRender-2Last year I joined Didcot Rugby Union Football Club as their first and second team osteopath. Didcot are based at the extraordinary Boundary Park at the centre of the Great West Park development. The state of the art facility has a brand new club house that is open to the public and is shared with local cricket and football teams.

Didcot were promoted to the Berks Bucks and Oxon Premiership this season.
They have had a strong first season narrowly missing out on third place. They hadn’t had any physical therapy or pitch coverage for games previously and whilst chatting to players I was seeing at Castle Osteopathic Clinic I decided to offer my help.

and I’ve had a fantastic time working with the players and coaches. FullSizeRender-1

Working in Rugby is unlike any other sport and running on the pitch to deal with injuries can be akin to working in a hospital A&E department.

So here’s to the next season and thanks to all at Didcot rugby club for making me feel so welcome. And if you’re in the area, come down and show your support for a local team.
